Liam Gallagher has teased an Oasis reunion on X (formerly Twitter) for years
Fans are convinced Liam Gallagher teased the return of Oasis when replying to fans on social media just a number of weeks ago.
The legendary Manchester band have made their long-awaited return in what is the biggest comeback in modern music after Liam and older brother Noel Gallagher put aside their differences for the sake of rock ‘n’ roll.
Burying the hatchet and announcing 14 mega gigs across the United Kingdom and Ireland, the Britpop icons have launched themselves right back to the forefront of British culture with millions set to battle it out for tickets to the concerts with hotels already sold out across host cities.

Around 1,044,000 tickets will be available to buy when the general sale begins on Saturday morning (31 August), with Ireland dates going live at 8am and UK at 9am.
A presale will take place on Friday with a limited number of tickets up for grabs across the dates, with hundred of thousands of people estimated to have signed up to the ballot to get early access.
Ahead of Oasis’ confirmed return, Liam Gallagher was his usual self on social media over the August bank holiday weekend, teasing fans on X (formerly Twitter) as rumours began to snowball about the looming announcement.
“I never did like that word FORMER,” he said in a post.
A user also posted saying they ‘hoped’ the brothers didn’t get back together, with Liam replying: “See you down the front ya big f*nny kiss kiss.”

And another fan asked him: “Hypothetically speaking, if there was going to be a reunion announcement and you were the one who had to make the announcement, how would you announce it to the world?”
Responding he said: “I think I’ve said enough.”
His unique approach to social media is nothing new, with him one of the only celebrities who really says anything truly authentic nowadays on their accounts.
And following on from the Oasis reunion confirmation, fans have been trawling through his posts on X to see if they can figure out exactly when the top secret photoshoot took place where Noel and Liam got together in person for the first time in years.
It didn’t take long for fans to put two and two together.
Back on 24 July, one fan asked him: “Morning Liam, what’s the plan for today?”
Responding he simply said: “Photo shoot.”

And in another response on the same day to a fan asking how he was, LG posted: “There’s a few big things happening but I can’t tell you as there so big it’s gonna blow your minds and I’ve been sworn to secrecy sorry hope you understand.”
Fans, who have been desperate for the reunion for years, replied to him asking him to ‘stop keeping their hopes up’ with one labelling him the ‘boy who cried wolf.”

Liam simply replied ‘ha ha’.
Rediscovering the posts five weeks later, one fan added: “He wasn’t lying was he?”
Another said: “He was warning us!”
And a third posted: “How did he keep quiet, he’s usually always blabbing. Unless Noel threatened him [crying laughter emoji].”
